Bilbao Seriesland

The Origins of the DIMA Digital Market

DIMA was originally created as a part of Bilbao Seriesland as a way to build in-person connections between web series creators and industry leaders. This in-person experience is still very much of Bilbao Seriesland and other festivals that integrate DIMA into their programming.

die Seriale

Seriale Pro Teams Up with DIMA

In 2019, the die Seriale team partnered with Bilbao Seriesland to create a common experience between the Seriale Pro industry events and DIMA with an eye on establishing an online component.

Minnesota WebFest

Minnesota Brings DIMA Online

At the 2019 die Seriale, the directors from Bilbao Seriesland and die Seriale met up with the director of Minnesota WebFest to discuss the creation of an online DIMA experience to be shared by all three festivals. Little did anyone know in 2019 that online experiences were going to become so critical to the creative landscape.
Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte

Support from the Ministry of Culture and Sports

Thanks to support from the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports, the DIMA launched a beta site in early 2020. We have been hard at work identifying a solid base of launch projects and pushing the site into a production status. Our formal launch was April 2022.
